ABOUT ANNELISE AMORE

Annelise Amore is a squishy writer in the Midwest US, where she eats enough cheese it probably seeps into her stories. When she’s not wrapped up in rom-coms, she can be found gaming, wandering gardens, and analyzing pop culture snuggled in the safety of her husband’s arms or a bundle of fuzzy blankets.

Rumor has it, if you give her tea and sweets, she starts wiggling with glee. She’s the author of the Love at Westbrook Mall contemporary romance series, inspired by her time working in various retail and theater endeavors.

My story from retail to rom-coms

Once upon a time, a young college graduate got her first retail job. She quickly discovered she had flat arches, a customer service smile, and a knack for bringing sunshine to her shifts. Often times, she'd go to work for the thrill of a potential grin, whether that be from flirting with a work crush or joking with a coworker. It needed to be something fun, something she could share with her gossip-hungry pals. Reading a book during break was her special escape. Eventually, she started writing romance to deal with a horrible work environment, and although she managed to leave that job, she hasn't stopped writing since.

Annelise Amore explores the quest for joy, purpose, and love even in the longest holiday shifts.
